Tim Gaspar Outraises Opponent by a 2 to 1 Margin in Race for Los Angeles City Council District 3

Woodland Hills, CA – Today, Tim Gaspar’s campaign for Los Angeles City Council District 3, reported campaign fundraising figures showing the campaign has raised over $230,000 since launching, including $123,000 in the most recent six-month reporting period.

The campaign finance reports, covering activity through June 30th, 2025, underscore the commanding position Gaspar continues to hold in the race for Los Angeles City Council District 3. His primary opponent, political staffer Barri Worth Girvan, reported raising just $126,000 — giving Gaspar a nearly 2 to 1 advantage.

“We’ve worked hard to earn every dollar we’ve raised—and we’re proud to have the support of over 450 individuals and small businesses across the San Fernando Valley,” said Gaspar. “But we also know this race is far from over. We’re going to keep working, keep showing up, and keep making the case for leadership that delivers results.”

Gaspar, a small business owner and lifelong Valley resident, has steadily built momentum since launching his campaign with the exclusive endorsement of Councilmember Bob Blumenfield. Since then, he has earned endorsements from Councilmembers John Lee and Tim McOsker, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, IBEW Local 40, and more than 100 civic, business, and community leaders from across the West Valley.

The campaign’s financial standing reflects a disciplined operation, strong grassroots support, and a clear message that continues to resonate with voters.
“These numbers show what we’ve been feeling on the ground: people are ready for change, and they see this campaign as a path forward,” said Gaspar. “We’re going to keep that momentum going—and we’re just getting started.”
