Rams Village at Warner Center: A Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity for Woodland Hills

When people talk about the San Fernando Valley, they often mention its history of innovation, its family-oriented neighborhoods, and its untapped potential as a hub for culture and commerce. With the announcement in April of 2025 of Rams Village at Warner Center, that potential is about to be realized in a transformative way that will redefine our community for decades to come.

The Kroenke Organization’s vision for Rams Village—a 52-acre mixed-use neighborhood anchored by the permanent headquarters of the Los Angeles Rams—will not just change the skyline of Woodland Hills; it will change the very rhythm of life in the West Valley. As someone running to represent this community on the Los Angeles City Council, I see this as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver economic growth, cultural vibrancy, and lasting community benefits.

At the heart of this development is the Rams’ new 350,000-square-foot state-of-the-art training facility, complete with two grass fields, an indoor practice field seating 2,500 fans, and headquarters that will house every aspect of team operations. Since their return to Los Angeles in 2016, the Rams have been more than a football franchise; they have been community partners. Their decision to make Woodland Hills their permanent home is a testament to the fact that the West Valley matters.

Beyond football, the Rams’ presence means jobs—ranging from construction to hospitality, event management to retail. Their headquarters will attract visitors, media attention, and investment, making Warner Center a focal point for sports and entertainment in Los Angeles. This is not just about hosting a football team—it’s about creating an anchor institution that inspires young people, brings pride to families, and stimulates the local economy.

Rams Village is more than just a training facility. The proposal encompasses over three million square feet of residential development, featuring high-rise, mid-rise, and live-work housing, alongside nearly two million square feet of retail, office space, and a hotel. For years, Warner Center has been envisioned as the beating heart of the West Valley, with the Warner Center 2035 Plan calling for sustainable growth, walkable neighborhoods, and a balance of live, work, and play. Rams Village delivers on that promise.

Two performance venues—one with 5,000 seats and another with 2,500—will bring concerts, award shows, and cultural events directly to our community. For far too long, Valley residents have had to drive to Hollywood or Inglewood for premier entertainment. Soon, Woodland Hills will have world-class venues in our own backyard.

Retail and dining options will create a destination district, complementing the office space that will attract new businesses and jobs. Rams Village will be a magnet for young professionals, families, and visitors, energizing our local economy.

One of the most exciting aspects of Rams Village is its commitment to public space. More than nine acres of open space—including parks, play areas for children, dog relief stations, and an indoor community center—will provide our residents with gathering places to connect and recharge. The design emphasizes sustainability, with solar generation, stormwater reuse, and LEED-equivalent standards across the development.

This means Rams Village will not only meet the letter of the Warner Center 2035 Plan but also exceed its spirit. It will demonstrate that growth and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

The Rams’ commitment to community is not theoretical—it’s proven. Since 2016, Rams players, coaches, and staff have logged more than 5,000 hours of community service in Woodland Hills and the West Valley. They have engaged nearly 13,000 local students through PLAY 60 Field Days, hosted 30 Rams Readers literacy events, and provided more than 7,000 children with their own books to encourage reading.

They have supported mentorship programs, recognized local coaches, donated football equipment, and helped establish girls’ flag football as a sanctioned high school sport. When they announced their move to Woodland Hills, the Rams marked the occasion with a Day of Service at the West Valley Food Pantry and local schools. This is an organization that invests in people, not just facilities.

As a City Councilmember, I will work to ensure that this spirit of service continues to be integrated into Rams Village—not just as a development, but as a living, breathing part of the West Valley community.

Rams Village is projected to cost more than $10 billion, making it one of the most significant private investments in the San Fernando Valley’s history. The ripple effects will be felt in every corner of our community:

  • Economic growth through jobs, retail, and tourism.
  • Cultural enrichment through concerts, performances, and sports.
  • Housing opportunities aligned with state housing law and the Warner Center 2035 Plan.
  • Public spaces that bring families together.
  • Sustainable design that respects our environment.

For too long, the West Valley has been overlooked in favor of downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, or the Westside. Rams Village sends a clear message: our community deserves world-class investment, and we are ready to seize it.

The Rams Village at Warner Center represents the future we’ve been waiting for: a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive community where families can live, businesses can grow, and culture can thrive.

As your City Councilmember, I will make sure this project delivers on its promises, maximizes community benefits, and sets a standard for development across Los Angeles.

The Rams chose us. Now it’s up to us to make the most of this once-in-a-generation opportunity.
