International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 40 Endorses Tim Gaspar for Los Angeles City Council District 3
Gaspar continues to gain momentum with major labor endorsement
Woodland Hills, CA – Today, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 40 announced its endorsement of Tim Gaspar for Los Angeles City Council District 3. This endorsement
further builds on a growing coalition of support from elected officials, neighborhood leaders, and now, organized labor.
IBEW Local 40 represents electrical workers and engineers who help power and maintain Los Angeles’ studios, public buildings, and critical infrastructure. Their support signals strong labor confidence in Gaspar’s approach to job creation, economic opportunity, and pragmatic leadership.
“Tim Gaspar is a strong advocate for working people and understands the importance of protecting good union jobs and investing in our city’s future,” said Juan Rodriguez, President of IBEW Local 40. “He brings the kind of steady, collaborative leadership we need at City Hall, and our members are proud to stand with him.”
The endorsement comes just one week after Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin joined the campaign as its highest-profile supporter to date. Gaspar has also earned the support of Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield and Tim McOsker, and over 50 West Valley community and business leaders.
“I’m incredibly honored to have the support of IBEW Local 40,” said Gaspar. “Their members keep this city moving—often behind the scenes—and I’m committed to being a partner who respects skilled
labor, supports workforce development, and ensures that working families can thrive in Los Angeles.”
