Tim Gaspar Wins Exclusive Endorsement from the Los Angeles Police Protective League
Woodland Hills, CA – Today, The Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), representing nearly 10,000 rank-and-file LAPD officers, announced its endorsement of Tim Gaspar for Los Angeles City Council District 3. The endorsement marks the first major public safety endorsement in the race and
gives Gaspar a major boost as public safety remains a top priority for voters across Los Angeles.
The LAPPL advocates for the interests and well-being of LAPD officers and the communities they serve,
working to ensure that Los Angeles remains a safe, thriving city where public safety is a top priority.
“Our members put their lives on the line every day to keep Los Angeles safe, and we need leaders at City Hall who will be strong partners in that mission,” said Craig Lally, President of the Los Angeles Police Protective League. “Tim Gaspar understands the importance of public safety and has made it clear that he will prioritize safe neighborhoods, accountability, and supporting the officers who serve this city. We are proud to endorse him for City Council.”
Gaspar, a small business owner and lifelong Valley resident, has built his campaign on a platform of restoring accountability and strengthening core services like public safety, infrastructure, and homelessness response. His candidacy has already earned the backing of IBEW Local 40, Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield, John Lee, and Tim McOsker, Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, and
more than 100 community leaders across the West Valley.
“Public safety is the foundation of a strong community,” said Gaspar. “I’m honored to have the support of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, and I look forward to working in partnership with our officers to make sure every neighborhood in the Valley—and across Los Angeles—is safe, supported,
and heard.”
With broad support from public safety, labor, business, and community leaders, Gaspar’s campaign continues to demonstrate growing momentum and strength heading into the next phase of the race.
