Public Safety for the West Valley
I am the public safety candidate. That is not a slogan. The safety of our community is one of the reasons I got into this race. Right now, too much of Los Angeles feels lawless, from home burglaries and catalytic converter theft to the everyday quality-of-life crimes like graffiti, illegal dumping, and street takeovers that too many of our leaders have decided to tolerate. West Valley residents deserve a council member who puts their safety first. Here is my plan.

Back Our LAPD and Demand Prosecution
My first meeting in office will be with our LAPD, and my second will be with the District Attorney and City Attorney. Our officers need to know their council member has their back and expects our laws to be enforced. But an arrest is only step one. I will strengthen our district's relationship with the prosecutors so that the people we arrest are actually prosecuted, and I will make sure criminals learn quickly that the West Valley is an inconvenient place to commit a crime.

Zero Tolerance for Quality-of-Life Crimes
Public drug use, vandalism, illegal dumping, illegal vending, party houses, and street racing will no longer be tolerated in CD3. These are the crimes that shape how safe our neighborhoods actually feel day to day, and a council member has real influence over how they are treated. I intend to use every bit of that influence to take our sidewalks, parks, and streets back for the residents who live here.

Technology as a Force Multiplier
Our police are understaffed, with the fewest officers since the 1990s serving far more residents. Technology lets us do more with less. Our own Topanga division was the first in the city to deploy drones, and they are already solving crimes. Imagine an LAPD drone over your home 60 seconds after you call about a prowler, or following a suspect so officers can avoid a dangerous pursuit. Paired with traffic cameras and license plate readers, these tools give our officers a real edge in keeping the West Valley safe.

Protecting Our Parks, Schools, and Houses of Worship
Our parks are meant to be an oasis, not a place where children walk past open drug use during a little league game. The City has just 18 park rangers for all of Los Angeles, and I will fight to give them the resources to keep our parks safe. I will support our school police against efforts to defund them, and step in wherever our local schools are left unprotected. And I will not tolerate hate crimes in the West Valley. I will push to enforce and strengthen California's "bubble law" so residents can worship in peace.

Stop Crime Before It Starts
Most criminals do not make that choice at 40. They start young, often without stability or mentors in their lives. That is why youth programs are one of the most effective public safety tools we have. I am a strong supporter of programs like the LAPD Cadets, which keep young people out of trouble and build a future pipeline of officers at the same time. Investing in our kids and investing in public safety are the same fight.
