Section 41.18, when enforced responsibly and paired with services and outreach, helps us protect our children while treating people experiencing homelessness with compassion and accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his open letter, Gaspar calls on Worth Girvan and Rawlings to publicly commit to enforcing 41.18 if elected, emphasizing that voters deserve transparency from every candidate on how they intend to address safety in public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo date, Ms. Worth Girvan and Mr. Rawlings have not taken a public position on this issue,\u201d Gaspar said. \u201cThe people of our district deserve to know where their leaders stand. This isn\u2019t about punishment, it\u2019s about ensuring that our schools, parks, and libraries remain safe and welcoming for all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter, available in full on Gaspar\u2019s campaign website, underscores his belief that enforcing 41.18 is part of a balanced strategy combining accountability with compassion.
